Final Post

No sooner do I bring this blog back than I find that I will no longer be able to update it. It is a Blogger blog, and they decided in their "infinite" wisdom that blogs that publish via FTP (like this one) will be phased out. There are other options, however none of them will work for me due to various technical reasons that I won't bother to discuss in a non-technical blog about semi-precious stones and jewelry.

I used to update this site via RSS, and then that got all screwy too, again, technical reasons I could get into that I won't. Let's just say it's a Google conspiracy, since Google disallowed the use of images in their RSS feeds that are uploaded to their products database. Google also owns Blogger. This is the same Google that used to bring twice as many people to my site...before they changed their algorithm in the midst of the worst economic depression in my lifetime (and I lived through the Reagan era).

I will go back to posting updates only on the first page (jewelry.shtml) manually, as I have been doing for a while now without the use of complicated blogging tools--just an html editor.
